This basecamp is your safe space to experiment, play, and uncover new ways of thinking about coaching.

As a Maverick Coach you’ll focus on the foundational practices behind every sustainable coaching practice: showing up, being seen, becoming known, extending invitations, and DOING the stuff you might be avoiding because it feels kinda scary - creating coaching experiences, having conversations, extending invitations, running workshops, sharing proposals, and — directly correlated to your willingness to practice all of this stuff — creating clients.

These are essential practices for every coach, often overlooked - to a coach’s detriment - by the Coaching Industrial Complex.

But it’s a result of these practices that clients and your coaching ecosystem will emerge!

The mixture of feedback, conversations and mentorship sessions make this platform a great place to learn, share ideas, discuss with others, and grow individually and professionally.

It is a deeply supportive community that gives you permission, dear coach, to experiment, have fun, and bring more of yourself into your coaching.

  • We acknowledge the difference between coaching and the business of coaching and give ourselves the space - and the grace - to approach them as separate projects and skillsets.

  • As individuals we reclaim our definition of “success.” We celebrate micro-actions, small (but mighty!) wins, and foundational skills that move our coaching - and our coaching practice - forward. We practice patience and approach learning how to be a coach as a marathon, not a sprint.

  • We embrace an emergent approach to being a coach, trusting that “creating clients” and “building a business” will emerge out of a willingness to practice foundational skills such as talking to people, telling them about our work, sharing our point of view, creating interesting coaching experiences, and extending invitations.

  • We carve our own paths. Coaching is a wildly creative industry and we celebrate offbeat and diverse approaches to the work. There is no one right way to be a coach, but there is a right way for each one of us, and you’re supported on that unique journey here in M2M. Members operate at their own pace and from a place that honors your unique Strengths and Values. We look to others who are doing the things we’d like to be doing as inspiration and something to work towards, not as an excuse for self-punishment and comparisonitis.

  • We approach our work as a collection of EXPERIMENTS and PROJECTS — there is no failure, only learning, and we accept that fear is simply along for the ride.

  • Your membership includes:

    • immediate access to the M2M basecamp (on Mighty Networks),

    • a 1:1 welcome call with Allegra to get clear on big goals (aka “why are you here and how can we best help you?”) and learn how to best use the space

    • ongoing, weekly mentorship calls with Allegra for 1:1 support in a small group setting,

    • a vibrant message board where you can start posting your Asks and Shares, 24/7, starting on Day 1,

    • all micro-courses, archived guest teacher classes, and previous workshops,

    • unlimited Voxer conversations with Allegra,

    • upcoming member only workshops,

    • connection to a group of fellow creative, kind, smart, generous, and skilled coaches to support and collaborate with,

    • and more.

  • Dues are $99/month (get in while it lasts. Dues will be going up to $150/month for new members starting 9/1) and can be paused any time.

 

 

  • You are familiar with my approach to coaching and would like to work together! Maybe you’ve listened to the podcasts, watched some YouTube videos, or attended a workshop and feel like The Maverick Approach to Coaching is in alignment with your own values. M2M members can experience direct mentorship with me every week - in a small group setting - where you’ll be encouraged to practice applying these perspectives to your own work.

  • You’re available least one Tuesday each month (times vary) for an Open Mentorship Call and/or willing to use Voxer to connect. While this is a membership space I am driven by my Relator Strength and want to connect and work directly with each individual member. Please show your face, use the space, and participate in the coaching partnership.

  • You’re overwhelmed by (or disillusioned with!) the Coaching Industrial Complex and want to unlearn those messages and carve you own path.

  • You’re ready to take some action. Misfit to Maverick is a tool that will only be as valuable as the Treehouse you choose to build with it. You must be willing to apply all of the things you learn and experiment to get the most out of this work (even if it feels terrexcitifying!)

  • You align with the values of creativity, curiosity and adventure and are open to ideas that involve Practice, Experimentation, and learning through doing.

  • You're excited to Give, Ask, and Share generously. I am not the only coach in the room here, and one of the most valuable parts of your membership is having the attention and support of other amazing coaches from around the world. The success of the individuals in M2M emerges out of encouragement, affirmation, and thoughtful critique of the collective. It is a safe space to create, share, support, and foster one another's growth.

  • This feels like a Hell Yes. There is no need to add one more thing to your life you feel kind of tepid about. Plus, it won’t really work unless you’re excited to dive in!

 

 
  • …seeking "proven systems" about things like funnels or FB ads that convert. There are plenty of courses out there that will teach you those methods (oftentimes at the expense of simply talking to people). Those can be important business building tools, but they’re not the primary focus of our basecamp.

  • …are interested in things like “empire building”, “scaling”, and “reaching six figures” before you’ve even gotten started. The kind of projects I help coaches create involve slowing down, building relationships, putting the coaching first, and focusing on slow, steady, and sustainable growth.

  • going to sign up but never show up. That won’t be fun for any of us.

  • …focused entirely on how to make money or have a high urgency to get paid. I believe that “clients” and “getting paid” emerge out of willingness to experiment, talk to people, practice, and lean into the creativity available to you as a coach. This is not a get-rich-quick or money focused program. I’m a fan of being profitable, but only if it’s sustainable, aligned to your work preferences, and created around something you’re inspired by.

  • …not interested in focusing on the foundations. In this space you’ll be encouraged to break out of your coaching bubble, talk to people, tell them about your work, practice your craft, create interesting coaching experiences to invite people to, and extend those invitations. These are game-changing, essential skills overlooked by the Coaching Industrial Complex. M2M will not be a good fit if you’d rather avoid projects like these.

  • …looking for someone to tell you the right way to do this thing called coaching. I don’t believe there is one right way, but there is a right way for you. I will push you to make your own discoveries, to get out into the territory and learn for yourself, which is how you will evolve most quickly and sustainably. If you don’t want to experiment, this won’t be a good fit.
